Darius Rucker's ready to pay tribute to Charley Pride as Opry 100 rolls on

'Opry 100 Honors Charley Pride' (Grand Ole Opry)

The Grand Ole Opry will honor Charley Pride during a special show Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Darius Rucker, Pam Tillis, Neal McCoy and Dion Pride are among those set to play.

"The Grand Ole Opry held a very special place in my father's heart, and our family is deeply grateful to see his music and legacy celebrated on the stage he loved so much," Dion says. "It will be an honor to perform alongside artists who admired him and to share his songs with the fans who have kept them alive for generations."

Pride made his Opry debut in 1967, though he didn't become a member until 1993. Touring commitments forced him to turn down an earlier invitation.

Songs like "Kiss an Angel Good Mornin'," "Is Anybody Goin' to San Antone," "Burgers and Fries" and "Roll on Mississippi" made him one of the most successful Black artists ever to sing country music. He passed away in 2020 at the age of 86.

Tickets for Opry 100 Honors Charley Pride are on sale now.

If it's meant to be, there may be a new Morgan Wallen song

Morgan Wallen (Jason Kempin/Getty Images for ABA)

Morgan Wallen doesn't exactly post on his socials every day, so when he says something, it's usually worth paying attention.

"Maybe I’ll release this one before the boats get winterized this time," he writes in a new post of him playing and singing an unreleased song on piano. It isn't exactly new, however, since he dropped the same snippet of a studio version five weeks ago.

"No we don't even fight like we used to/ We don't even care enough to cry no more/ It's been a hundred nights since I knew you/ How long we gonna keep lookin' at that door?" he asks.

"If it was meant to be, we'da been by now," he continues. "We wouldn't have to keep trying to work things out/ Yeah baby we're a breeze when the lights go down/ It wouldn't be so hard when we ain't in the dark/ If we were in the stars they'da lined right up/ And maybe from the start we've been tryin' too much/ I know you want to think that it's what we've found/ But if it was meant to be, we'da been by now."

Stay tuned to see what happens next.

Morgan's most recent release is "I Can't Love You Anymore" with Ella Langley, which is just behind "Don't We" in the top five, from 2025's I'm the Problem. He's also featured on HARDY's top-20 collab "McArthur."

The man behind 15 years of hits was almost father to Bo-Berry McCreery

Scotty McCreery's '15' (Triple Tigers)

Scotty McCreery fans will be able to take a walk down memory lane when his greatest hits collection, titled 15, comes out on Friday.

The North Carolina native was only 17 when he won American Idol in 2011, and since then, he's gone on to build his life in the public eye. He married longtime girlfriend Gabi Dugal in 2018, before welcoming Avery McCreery in October 2022 and his second son in September 2025.

But when Oliver McCreery joined the family, his big brother had big feelings about what his name should be. He was fighting for Bo-Berry McCreery, which happens to be the name of his favorite treat at Bojangles.

"Avery's doing great, Ollie's doing great," Scotty says. "Bo-Berry comes out every now and then. But yeah, the Bo-Berry name is kind of starting to fade a little. But Avery is loving his little brother. I think he wants to just play tackle football with him all the time, so we have to tell him [to] be gentle."

"But he's a sweet kid," he continues. "And the other day, he looked at Ollie. Ollie's just sitting there, obviously. And he just goes up and says, 'Ollie, I am so proud of you.' And then he walks away — and I'm melting. He's been a great big bro."

15 boasts seven number ones: "Bottle Rockets," “Five More Minutes,” “This Is It,” “In Between,” “You Time,” “Damn Strait” and “Cab in a Solo.”

It also includes Gabi's favorite, the #2 "It Matters to Her"; Scotty's first top 10, "See You Tonight"; plus four new recordings.

'What If' you put an 'Honest Woman' in bluegrass's most famous band?

Carly Pearce's "What If You Loved Me" (BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville)

What if you made Carly Pearce a member of Alison Krauss & Union Station?

It's something you'll likely be able to envision once you hear Carly's new Honest Woman preview.

"Bluegrass has always been part of who I am," Carly writes on her socials. "I can’t wait for y’all to hear 'What If You Loved Me' with Molly Tuttle & Dan Tyminski this Friday."

Of course, Dan is a longtime — but former — member of AKUS, while Molly's a bluegrass star with a voice reminiscent of Alison's.

If you're so intrigued by the prospect you can't make it until Friday, Carly also posted a short snippet as a preview.

Her fifth studio album drops Aug. 28.

How to 'Carry On' with Kenny Chesney not on the 'Silver Sands' Marina cover

Kenny Chesney's 'Silver Sands Marina' picture disc (HEY NOW Records/TalkShopLive)

There's no photo of Kenny Chesney on the front of his 21st album. If you want to see the superstar staring back from your copy of Silver Sands Marina, you'll have to get the vinyl picture disc, which is available exclusively from TalkShopLive.

Kenny's July appearance on the platform will be his first in-depth conversation about making the record and adding three songs after it was finished.

"A lot went into making Silver Sands Marina, wanting to create something that was authentic," he explains. "It’s country. It rocks. It’s philosophical in places. But every single song takes you somewhere."

You can catch Kenny on TalkShopLive July 30 at 7 p.m. ET.

It's the only place you'll be able to get autographed copies of the Sept. 25 album, which features his top-10 hit "Carry On."

Alexandra Kay's 'Second Wind' brings her first US hit

Alexandra Kay's 'Second Wind' (BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville)

Newcomer Alexandra Kay's enjoying her first U.S. hit on the radio, as "Straight for the Heart" currently sits at #27 on the Mediabase chart.

The nontraditional breakup tune is one of only two songs she didn't have a hand in writing on her 14-track sophomore album, Second Wind.

"'Straight for the Heart' is about a relationship ending and basically just saying to your partner, 'If you're going to end this, make it bad. Make sure I'm never gonna love you again,'" she explains. "And I think that there is so much strength in that sentiment. And I think it helps to tell this story of confidence and strength really well."

"Straight for the Heart" isn't her first radio hit, however. She had a top-10 hit in Canada in 2025 with "How Do You Miss Me," a duet with Canadian artist Dallas Smith. Alexandra is from Waterloo, Illinois.

If you happened to watch the Netflix series Westside in 2018, Alexandra was probably already on your radar, since she was one of nine performers on the music reality show.

Shania Twain missed Taylor Swift’s wedding because of Harry Styles

Shania Twain missed Taylor Swift’s wedding and it’s all Harry Styles’ fault.

Shania tells Canada’s eTalk that opening for Harry — who coincidentally happens to be Taylor’s ex-boyfriend — prevented her from attending Taylor and Travis Kelce’s nuptials at Madison Square Garden on July 3.

“Taylor Swift invited me to her wedding,” Shania said. “I couldn’t go because I was already committed to Harry’s shows. So that’s why I say that, it’s just kind of funny that that happened that way.”

She was opening for Harry during his record-breaking Together, Together shows at London’s Wembley Stadium that weekend.

Shania said she would have “done anything to be at Taylor’s wedding ... that would have been really lovely for me to be there.”

“But I was with Harry, so that’s why I’m saying if Harry ever gets married and he wants me at his wedding ... he’s going to have to ask me more in advance,” she joked.

Harry is reportedly engaged to Zoe Kravitz.

The Kenny Chesney artifact that's too big for the Country Music Hall of Fame

Kenny Chesney's "American Kids" Bus Pop-Up Experience (Courtesy Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum)

The colorful bus from Kenny Chesney's "American Kids" video and the cover of The Big Revival album will be on display in Nashville the opening weekend of his new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

The "American Kids" Bus Pop-Up Experience will take place in Walk of Fame Park, right across from the Hall, from Wednesday, July 22, through Sunday, July 26.

The exhibit Kenny Chesney: Living in Fast Forward opens on July 23 and runs through June 2027.

Kenny and his friends hand-painted the bus back in 2014 for the video and album cover. There'll be photo ops in the park, prizes and games, all free and open to the public as part of the pop-up.

You'll also be able to print your own poster from Hatch Show Print. On opening day, museum visitors will be able to design their own paper version of the bus in the Taylor Swift Education Center.

The symbolic gift Tim McGraw's giving at every Pawn Shop Guitar stop

Tim McGraw (Disney/Connie Chornuk)

Tim McGraw's Pawn Shop Guitar Tour is now fully underway, after its kickoff Thursday at New Jersey's Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.

He also played the first of three stadium dates with The Chicks and Lady A Saturday in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The other two are July 30 at Boston's Fenway Park and Aug. 23 at Target Field in Minneapolis.

Regular tour openers 49 Winchester and Timothy Wayne are on the stadium dates, as well.

The first half of Tim's show features an unplugged set with his full band, meant to evoke the clubs he played early in his career. Full production returns in the second act, with a setlist that includes his biggest hits, a few deep cuts and his two newest songs, "Pawn Shop Guitar' and "Song for America."

Also during his shows, Tim's giving a young audience member a pawn shop guitar he bought in their city. That's significant since the tour's namesake song is about the instrument Tim used to start his career.

This week the Pawn Shop Guitar Tour plays Toronto on Thursday, with stops in Ohio on Friday and Pennsylvania on Saturday. The trek wraps Sept. 26 in West Palm Beach, Florida.

From Deale, Maryland, to Nashville, Brothers Osborne were 'Runnin' Down a Dream'

John Osborne & TJ Osborne (Tibrina Hobson/Getty Images)

As Brothers Osborne recently pointed out on social media, it's been more than 1,000 days since they put out their most recent album, their eponymous effort from 2023.

"We've been working for a long time to get new music out. We almost put music out, but it didn't feel right, so we went back in the studio," TJ Osborne recently said backstage at CMA Fest.

He went on to echo the other aspect revealed in their Instagram post: It's a return to their roots.

"It's an album that's really kinda dedicated to our hometown where we're from, which is Deale, Maryland. It's a small water town, and so a lot of the songs are really kinda based around that, telling the story not only of our town, but kinda letting people know what we're about," he added.

"I think, even though we've been doing this for as long as we have, some people are confused why we're from Maryland and play country music. So hopefully this answers those questions."

If you simply can't wait for the new Brothers album, you can check out TJ and John Osborne's cover of Tom Petty's "Runnin' Down a Dream," which came out in June and is from a new racing documentary.
